The last blog for this season.                                      A journey through France, then Home.                                                                                We left Lagrasse. Now we are off to Beziers by the Mediterranean coast, not a seaside resort, but a very interesting city. The population of Beziers is 75,999 its Famous for the annual bullfighting festival (feria), and a five day party attracts thousands of people at the start of August. Beziers is not on the coast, but a beach bus runs to the sea every 20 minutes to Valras plage. Another beautiful city, Beziers. Discovering Costa Brava and the Pyrenees mountains, France.

Here we go again, travelling to Palamos, a very attractive port and holiday resort, we stayed two days on a lovely motorhome site. Palamos has two beaches, a fishing harbour, a marina, and an old town. we liked Palamos very much. It is on the Mediterranean coast, one of the best resorts on Costa Brava between Barcelona and the French border. Population 17,600, we would go again. We have only got about 14 days of our holiday left 😢 and we’ll be going to France soon. But before we do, we’re going to visit Figueres and Roses. First up, Figueres, … Continue reading Discovering Costa Brava and the Pyrenees mountains, France.

Vilannova La Geltru, Gaya, Barcelona, Palamos and the Costa Brava.

Leving La Selva del Camp today. We had to ring up the police when we arrived, and they came and took our money 10 €, and opened the barrier for us to get in and give us a password to get out. A great little aire. We felt very safe here. Enjoyed La Salva and our train ride to visit Tarragona. Moving on to a seaside resort, Vilanova la Geltru is only 15 miles away. A big change in the weather it rained all day, none stop for eight hours. There’s not much to do in this weather, so we … Continue reading Vilannova La Geltru, Gaya, Barcelona, Palamos and the Costa Brava.

We had to say good bye to Los Alcazares camping, because they didn’t have a place for us.

We would have stayed longer, but most of the campsites are full up with Northern Europeans coming to southern Spain for the winter. This is the busiest time of the year, from December to March from Gibraltar all the way up the Mediterranean coast, the warmest part of Spain in winter. Most of the campsites and aires are booked up a year in advance. We are going wild camping at Santa Pola on the sand dumes next to the beach. What a beautiful place to stay for three days. A stretch of beach between Santa Pola and Alicante, we were … Continue reading We had to say good bye to Los Alcazares camping, because they didn’t have a place for us.

We have just had a very lazy week chatting with some of our northern European friends, who we haven’t seen for a year or so. Traveling blog. 25th January.

It’s great to meet up again at the camping area M&H We meet up in the club known as the 5 o ⏰ club and we have a Bilingual conversation. We are doing our best to learn some Spanish and some other languages, but it’s hard, we use the app translator it’s a great help. I think the British are a bit lazy at learning languages reason being English is a world language and is spoken all over Europe where we are at the moment. But we do try to make an effort to speak Spanish and it is appreciated. … Continue reading We have just had a very lazy week chatting with some of our northern European friends, who we haven’t seen for a year or so. The campsite is owned by an English lady and a Spanish man who have three children the site is run by Cath and her son Nacho. It’s a very friendly site we are staying here for the next four weeks. Start of our adventure to the Costa Del Sol, France, Italy, Switzerland and Germany.

We set off on a wet and windy day in January. Torrential rain all the way to the channel tunnel. That was a journey not to forget, it was blowing a gale when we got to the channel tunnel so glad we were not getting a ferry over to France. The next morning up at five am, to catch the six-thirty shuttle to France. It only takes thirty-five minutes to get across to France a very smooth crossing. We have a long journey a head of us to Malaga Spain, we are going to take five days to get there … Continue reading Start of our adventure to the Costa Del Sol, France, Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
